Whoo! My birthday was pretty good this year. Simple, but that was nice about it. With friends, laughed a lot, enjoyed the company... was NOT traveling all day for my birthday... and had Cake!

Caaaaaake. Cake wasn't a lie... This time.

But sure enough, I am not allowed to get away without an adventure!

Everyone had split up for the night to their respective rooms, including me in a guest room. Not bad, comfy air mattress.

But I wasn't tired.

Deciding on trying to get some work done, I did my website rounds and was enjoying my music when I kept seeing an ant running around. Ugh. So I just flicked it away. No biggie. So I go back to typing.

Typing typing typing... Ant. >.< Again I figure he's just a persistant little bugger that likes me. Great. Knock him away again.

Continue and with an even shorter amount of time, he was back. Ugh. But this time I looked up and around...

O.o!!!!!

(pausing her typing, moves to kill a few more ants.)

Yeah, it's a freaking Ant Apocalypse! Think Mini Sugar zombies.... HORDES of mini sugar zombies.

I'm vastly outnumbered, MAJORLY creeped out, and unsure how to do this without waking up the house... Because everyone seems to be sleeping.

Trying to think quickly, I take my backpack, which is properly infected and taken over, into the bathroom. Maybe this wasn't the best idea, but I'm desperate and I'll appologize later. Action NOW! So I

(adds another three bodies to her kill count)

So I run to bring my backpack into the bathroom, setting it into the tub in a hurry! And the whole thing is crawling with ants. Ew... Just wrong. But I leave it there long enough to run back into the room and dawn on some socks to go a-stomping with my hands. I don't like bugs on my skin, so socks are the best thing I can put together this late at night. BONZAI!!!!

Slaughtering left and right, I tried to not only kill, but wipe out the scent trail as I went. I need to borrow some wall cleaner or something, because the wall bares scars of battle as I went to town on the little.... yeah.  I killed as many as I could reach, before returning to the bathroom.

Staring at it, I really didn't want to open that Pandora's box... but something in my bag is a ant paradise. So I needed to get in there and take it out! So I had to open each part of my bag and find out what they found so interesting.

Slowly, with socks on both hands, I removed each thing out of my bag, making sure there was no ants on them before I put it off to the side. I found one thing, but the ants hadn't found it yet. So I was able to throw out a candy cane before they found it. Phew... so that wasn't it, what had been? Which meant the next pocket. Nothing there, but I was getting close.

Turns out that I didn't throw out a wrapper from a cinnamon bun, and it was in the front pocket. That would do it. >.<

Taking those out, I made my bag explode in ants! X.x

*shutters* I hate bugs. But I didn't want this spreading any more then it had. And it was technically my fault for missing the bag. So I was trying to drown as many as possible, while hand crushing the rest that came near. I made sure that none got past the lip of the tub and survived.

Once that had died down a bit, I moved back into the room and killed another horde of ants that were trying to find where my bag had gone. So I slaughter them all too.

I don't know how long it took, but I was quietly shifting from bathroom to guestroom killing, and trying to be as quiet as possible. Though I hope my hitting the wall to kill the little buggers, wasn't loud enough to wake the people next to my room.

I think I finally got as much as I could, including the bunch I have been killing as I'm typing this and recording this for posterity... and guilt for launching a small invasion in my friend's house. I'm sorry. *bows*

I'll be happy to put my bag in the washing machine, to kill any ones I missed. And I hope the bathroom contains the few I couldn't find to kill.

I also left a note on the bathroom sink, explaining why there is a soaking wet backpack sitting in the bathtub, greeting anyone who visits it.

I hope I will sleep some time, but as bugs freak me out, I'm not exactly rushing to sleep. So, Happy birthday to me, May 19... I hate you.
